Fresh threats to Salman Khan: ‘Pay Rs.5 cr to end enmity with Bishnoi gang’

Bollywood actor Salman Khan has received a chilling death threat from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, demanding a payment of Rs.5 crore to “end the enmity.”

A WhatsApp message, forwarded to the Mumbai Traffic Police, warned that failure to comply would result in dire consequences for the actor, specifically mentioning that his fate could be worse than that of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique, who was recently murdered in an alleged gang-related incident.

The threat message stated, “Don’t take this lightly. If Salman Khan wants to stay alive and end the enmity with Lawrence Bishnoi, he must pay Rs.5 crore. If the money is not given, his condition will be worse than Baba Siddiqui’s.”

In response to the threat, the Mumbai Police have intensified security around Khan’s residence in Bandra and are actively investigating the source of the message. This latest development comes as Khan has already been on high alert due to previous threats against him.

In a related development, the Navi Mumbai Police arrested a key member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, identified as Sukha alias Sukhbir Balbir Singh, in Haryana’s Panipat. Singh is reportedly linked to an assassination plot targeting Khan and had allegedly contracted other gang members to carry out the attack.

Police sources indicated that Singh was in direct communication with his handler, Dogar, who is based in Pakistan, to coordinate the attack using high-powered firearms, including AK-47s and M16s, smuggled from across the border.

Singh’s arrest is part of a broader investigation into the Bishnoi gang’s conspiracy against Khan. Earlier this year, an FIR was filed against 18 individuals from the gang for plotting to kill the actor, following an incident where gang members fired shots outside Khan’s residence.

Notable figures in the Bishnoi gang, including Lawrence Bishnoi, his brother Anmol, and other high-profile members, have long been associated with organized crime across North India and are notorious for their threats and violent acts.

The investigation has revealed alarming details about the gang’s plans, with reports that they deployed 60 to 70 operatives to surveil Khan’s movements. The gang conducted reconnaissance at various locations, including his Bandra home and Panvel farmhouse, and even attempted to recruit minors as sharpshooters.

This is not the first time Khan has faced threats from the Bishnoi gang. Previous incidents include a threatening letter found near his residence in 2022 and an email sent to him in March 2023. In January 2024, two individuals tried to trespass into his Panvel farmhouse, prompting Khan to enhance security measures.

The longstanding feud between Khan and Lawrence Bishnoi stems from the actor’s involvement in a 1998 blackbuck poaching case, a significant point of contention as the Bishnoi community holds the blackbuck sacred.

As the situation unfolds, the police remain vigilant in their efforts to ensure Khan’s safety and address the threats posed by organized crime.
